Summary
Campaign finance; filings by candidates and campaign
committees; statements of organization. Provides that a candidate's
statement of organization shall be filed within 10 days of appointing a
campaign treasurer or designating his campaign committee or depository. The
bill retains the present law requirement for a candidate to comply with
campaign finance disclosure act provisions upon the acceptance of any campaign
contribution. The bill also provides that a General Assembly candidate files
his statement of organization with the State Board of Elections and files a
copy of it with the local electoral board where he resides. View Full Text »
