Summary

Preneed funeral contract recovery fund.  Establishes a recovery fund from which persons with an unsatisfied final judgment against the seller of a preneed funeral contract for damages resulting from the seller's malfeasance, misfeasance, default, failure, or insolvency in connection with the sale of a preneed funeral contract, or the seller's performance of the duties imposed on the seller by law with respect to the contract, may recover the amount of the court's judgment.  The recovery fund is financed with a fee of $2 on every preneed funeral contract sold and an initial assessment of $100 on every licensed practitioner of funeral service.   View Full Text »
