Summary
Contested election for Governor, Lieutenant Governor,
Attorney General, or the General Assembly. Provides for a surety bond of
$10 per precinct in contested elections for statewide office and $100 per
precinct in contested elections for the General Assembly to be forfeited by a
losing contestant to the extent of the contestee's actual costs. The bill also
makes the failure to meet the procedural deadlines for notice and subsequent
filings dispositive of the contest and equivalent to a finding against the
party failing to meet the deadlines. View Full Text »
