Summary

Campaign finance; special reports of large pre-election contributions.  Redefines large contributions requiring special reports to be more than $5,000 for statewide campaigns, more than $1,000 for General Assembly campaigns, and more than $500 for other campaigns. Present law requires reports for contributions greater than $1,000 in statewide campaigns and $500 in other campaigns.  The bill also requires the special reports to be filed by 5:00 p.m. on the day following receipt, or by 5:00 p.m. on the following Monday if received on a Saturday, rather than "on the next business day."   View Full Text »
