A BILL to amend the Code of Virginia by adding in Article 15 of Chapter 1 of Title 33.1 a section numbered 33.1-223.2:16, relating to refund of certain moneys collected in connection with applications for signage as part of the Integrated Directional Sign Program administered by the Department of Transportation or its agents.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1.  That the Code of Virginia is amended by adding in Article 15 of Chapter 1 of Title 33.1 a section numbered 33.1-223.2:16 as follows:

§ 33.1-223.2:16.  Department to refund certain monies collected in connection with applications for signage as part of the Integrated Directional Sign Program.

Whenever any county, city, town, or any agency or instrumentality thereof applies for signage as part of the Integrated Directional Sign Program (IDSP) administered by the Department of Transportation or its agents and such signage is denied by the Department or any of its agents, all moneys expended by the county, city, or town in connection with any such application shall be refunded in full by the Department.
