Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. That the Code of Virginia is amended by adding a section numbered 22.1-206.1 as follows:

§ 22.1-206.1. Internet safety instruction.

In order to avoid dangerous, inappropriate, and unlawful Internet use, school resource officers as defined in § 9.1-101 shall provide Internet safety instruction to students in those school divisions in which the school board has established a collaborative agreement to employ uniformed school resource officers.
