Description

Dialysis patient care technician; definition. Authorizes a person who has completed a training program in dialysis patient care to practice provisionally, under direct and immediate supervision of a licensed registered nurse, in order to obtain practical experience. The bill provides authorization for up to 24 months, or until such person has taken and received the results of any examination required by a certifying organization approved by the Board, whichever occurs sooner. The bill allows trainees to perform dialysis care as a part of a training program provided that they are identified as "trainees" while working in the dialysis facility.
