Summary
Administrative changes to adoption laws. Expands jurisdiction
and venue choices for parties involved in adoption, reduces the review time of
an adoption petition, and adds factors for the court to consider when
determining whether or not to grant an adoption petition. Additionally, the
bill sets out the procedure for close relative adoptions. The bill also makes several
other administrative changes to the adoption laws to make navigating through
the adoption process easier and to facilitate use of the process by all
involved. View Full Text »
