Summary

Administrative changes to adoption laws. Expands jurisdiction and venue choices for parties involved in adoption, reduces the review time of an adoption petition, and adds factors for the court to consider when determining whether or not to grant an adoption petition. Additionally, the bill sets out the procedure for close relative adoptions.  The bill also makes several other administrative changes to the adoption laws to make navigating through the adoption process easier and to facilitate use of the process by all involved.   View Full Text »
