Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. That the Code of Virginia is amended by adding in Article 2 of Chapter 5 of Title 1 a section numbered 1-513 as follows:

§ 1-513. Storyteller laureate.

The honorary position of Storyteller Laureate of Virginia is hereby created. The Governor may appoint a storyteller laureate from a list of nominees submitted by the Virginia Storytelling Alliance. Each storyteller laureate shall serve a term of two years with no restrictions on reappointment.
