Description

Virginia Public Procurement Act; methods of procurement; design-build by certain local public bodies. Provides that design-build or construction management projects undertaken by any local governing body with a population in excess of 80,000 or by two or more local governing bodies having a combined population in excess of 80,000 through cooperative procurement shall be exempt from approval of the Design-Build Review Board. As a result such local governing bodies have authority to enter into contacts on a fixed price design-build basis or construction management basis. Read the Bill »
