Summary

Personal property tax; classification of certain aircraft. Creates a separate classification for personal property tax rate purposes for aircraft having a registered empty gross weight equal to or greater than 20,000 pounds that are not owned and operated by scheduled air carriers recognized under federal law.  Localities are thereby authorized to set a tax rate for such aircraft at any rate that does not exceed that applicable to the general class of tangible personal property.   View Full Text »
