WHEREAS, Kristen Fields-Reedy, principal of Little River Elementary School, is recognized for her outstanding service to her students and the Loudoun County Public Schools; and

WHEREAS, Kristen Fields-Reedy earned a bachelor's degree in elementary education and a master's degree in supervision and administration from East Tennessee State University; and

WHEREAS, a dedicated and experienced administrator, Kristen Fields-Reedy has been the principal at Little River Elementary School since January 2004 and helped open the school in August 2000 as the assistant principal; and

WHEREAS, before joining Little River Elementary School, Kristen Fields-Reedy served as an assistant principal in Frederick, Maryland; and

WHEREAS, Kristen Fields-Reedy began teaching in the classroom in public schools in Tennessee and continued her career in education and administration when she moved to Virginia; she has taught every elementary school grade except for third grade and especially loves teaching students to read; and

WHEREAS, a visionary leader and gifted communicator, Kristen Fields-Reedy supports programs that encourage parental involvement and partnerships, as well as activities that inspire student pride in the school and in the community; and

WHEREAS, Kristen Fields-Reedy has been invaluable in implementing programs and activities that prepare students for the future, exemplifying the Little River Elementary School motto “Leading and Learning in the 21st Century”; and

WHEREAS, Kristen Fields-Reedy and the outstanding faculty and staff of Little River Elementary School are committed to helping students realize their full academic potential in order to become responsible citizens and leaders; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, the Senate concurring, That the General Assembly hereby commend Kristen Fields-Reedy on her outstanding leadership as the principal of Little River Elementary School; and, be it

RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to Kristen Fields-Reedy as an expression of the General Assembly's appreciation for her many accomplishments and her dedication to the students of Loudoun County.
