HJ87: Commending Bradley E. Grose.
WHEREAS, Bradley "Brad" E. Grose of Vinton has been honored with the Virginia Municipal League's Certified Local Government Official award; and
WHEREAS, owner and president of Dominion Electronics, Inc., Brad Grose is a respected businessman and admired citizen and leader of the Town of Vinton; and
WHEREAS, always eager to give of his time and considerable talents, Brad Grose vigorously pursues policies that benefit the Town of Vinton and that enhance the quality of life of its citizens; and
WHEREAS, Brad Grose has served in numerous leadership positions over the years, including as a member of the Vinton Planning Commission, the Roanoke Valley Greenways Commission, the Metropolitan Planning Organization, and the Vinton Public Works Committee and also served on the Vinton Town Council from 2000 to 2004; and
WHEREAS, Brad Grose is currently the Mayor of Vinton and is active in numerous civic organizations including board member of the Vinton Chamber of Commerce, the High Schools That Work Program, the Roanoke Valley Economic Development Partnership and as a member of the Vinton Public Safety Committee, the Roanoke Civitan Club, and the Vinton War Memorial Vision 2006 Committee; and
WHEREAS, committed to the safety and well-being of all residents of the community, Brad Grose is a charter graduate of Vinton's Citizen Police Academy and is the celebrated Santa for the Vinton Needy Family Program and the annual Vinton Christmas parade; and
WHEREAS, Brad Grose serves his community with ardent devotion and enthusiasm and is a worthy recipient of the Virginia Municipal League's Certified Local Government Official award; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, the Senate concurring, That the General Assembly commend Bradley E. Grose for his many years of meritorious service; and, be it
RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution to Bradley E. Grose as an expression of the General Assembly's gratitude for his commitment to the citizens of the Town of Vinton.
