Description
Payment of fine, costs, forfeitures, penalties or restitution. Requires the court to review, if requested by the defendant, the defendant's deferred or installment payment schedule for fines and costs, to ensure that such payments are consistent with his ability to pay. Amends § 19.2-354 (“Authority of court to order payment of fine, costs, forfeitures, penalties or restitution in installments or upon other terms and conditions; community work in lieu of payment.”), § 46.2-395 (“Suspension of license for failure or refusal to pay fines or costs.”), of the Code of Virginia.
