Description

Ignition interlock system; exemption. Allows the court to grant an exemption to a person otherwise required to use an ignition interlock system if the court determines that an exemption is warranted based on physician documentation that a person's medical condition prevents him from correctly utilizing the ignition interlock system. Amends § 18.2-270.1 (“Ignition interlock systems; penalty.”), § 18.2-271.1 (“Probation, education and rehabilitation of person charged or convicted; person convicted under law of another state.”), of the Code of Virginia.
