Summary

Opening of the 2006 school year at T.C. Williams High School.  Authorizes, in a noncodified provision, the School Board of the City of Alexandria to set the 2006-2007 school calendar for T.C. Williams High School so that the first day students are required to attend the old T.C. Williams High School for the 2006-2007 school year will be prior to Labor Day of 2006 and the last day students are required to attend the old T.C. Williams High School will be at the end of May 2007. In setting its 2006-2007 school calendar for all other Alexandria schools, the School Board of the City of Alexandria must comply with the provisions of § 22.1-79.1, requiring the first day of the school year to be after Labor Day.
