Description

Manufacturing, selling, giving, distributing, or possessing with intent to manufacture, sell, give, or distribute cocaine; penalties. Provides that any person who manufactures, sells, gives, distributes, or possesses cocaine with intent to manufacture, sell, give, or distribute it shall, in addition to any other punishment provided therefor, receive a mandatory minimum term of imprisonment of five years for a first offense, 10 years for a second offense, and 15 years for a third or subsequent offense. Amends § 18.2-248 (“Manufacturing, selling, giving, distributing, or possessing with intent to manufacture, sell, give, or distribute a controlled substance or an imitation controlled substance prohibited; penalties.”), of the Code of Virginia.
