Description

Medical malpractice insurance. Extends from July 1, 2006 to July 1, 2008 the effective date of the state-operated risk management plan allowing certain qualifying physicians and sole community hospitals to purchase insurance from a risk management plan to be administered by the Department of Treasury. The introduced bill was a recommendation of the Joint Subcommittee Studying Risk Management Plans for Physicians and Hospitals. The plan will not be established unless appropriate funding for it is provided in the 2008 budget bill. Read the Bill »
