Summary

Virginia Retirement System; teaching in critical shortage positions.  Allows persons who retired as other than a teacher to teach in a critical shortage position while continuing to receive a retirement allowance, provided the person becomes licensed by the Board of Education to serve as a local school board instructional or administrative employee. Under current law, only those retired persons who served as teachers are eligible to teach in critical shortage positions while continuing to receive a retirement allowance.        View Full Text »
