Summary

Day care facilities; exemptions from licensure. Limits exemption from licensure for "come and go" programs currently exempt. The bill provides that the exemption only applies where the program does not (i) provide care for a child under the age of eight, (ii) provide care for a child who resides more than one half-mile from the program, or (iii) initiate, arrange, or participate in the transportation of a child. The bill also requires that, if the program allows a parent to designate individuals who are not authorized to pick up a child, the parent must provide appropriate legal documentation in support of this request.   View Full Text »
