Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1.  § 1. The Commonwealth Transportation Board, Commonwealth Transportation Commissioner, and the Virginia Department of Transportation shall forthwith suspend any and all activities and plans relating in any way to consolidation of the Department's maintenance facilities and their personnel and equipment. Such suspension shall continue until such time as the General Assembly shall have examined the issues involved with such consolidation.

2. That an emergency exists and this act is in force from its passage.
