A BILL to amend the Code of Virginia by adding a section numbered 15.2-922.1 and to repeal § 15.2-1118 of the Code of Virginia, relating to regulating or prohibiting the making of fires.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1.  That the Code of Virginia is amended by adding a section numbered 15.2-922.1 as follows:

§ 15.2-922.1. Regulating or prohibiting the making of fires.

Any locality may by ordinance regulate or prohibit the making of fires in streets, alleys and other public places and regulate the making of fires on private property.

2.  That § 15.2-1118 of the Code of Virginia is repealed.
