A BILL to amend the Code of Virginia by adding in Article 7 of Chapter 8 of Subtitle III of Title 46.2 a section numbered 46.2-869.1, relating to how improper driving may be charged.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. That the Code of Virginia is amended by adding in Article 7 of Chapter 8 of Subtitle III of Title 46.2 a section numbered 46.2-869.1 as follows:

§ 46.2-869.1. Improper driving; penalty.

Any person may be charged with improper driving who has engaged in reckless driving where the degree of culpability is slight. Improper driving is punishable as a traffic infraction punishable by a fine of not more than $500.
