Description

Standards of Quality; Standard 1; gifted education programs. Requires the identification of students in kindergarten and throughout the public school grades for enrollment in gifted education programs. Students who demonstrate exceptional intellectual aptitude, or specific aptitude in mathematics, the sciences, English language, history or social studies, technical and practical arts, or visual or performing arts, in accordance with Board of Education standards, must be enrolled in gifted education programs. School boards must either meet or exceed the standards established by the Board. Read the Bill »
