it's so incredibly hypocritical to say that stopping abortion is important but it's okay to RESTRICT ACCESS TO BIRTH CONTROL. if you want to prevent unplanned pregnancies, then make birth control accessible! please support this bill because it prevents birth control from being labeled as an "abortion" and thus protects it from such restrictions as state-scripted "counseling," mandatory 24-hour delays, and pharmacy refusal clauses.

This bill was killed in subcommittee, with Dels. O'Bannon, Purkey, Nutter and Janis voting against it. Here's the video.

Linda Cunningham Goldstein writes:

Delegates O'Bannon, Purkey, Nutter & Janis (sounds like a bad law firm!) have once again proved that they are completely out of touch with mainstream Virginia voters and should be voted out of office! The "Flotsom Four" of the good 'ol boy mentality will continue to drag Virginia back into the Dark Ages! Women of Virginia unite!!! Let's get this "Quagmire Quartet" who OBVIOUSLY believe in SEX, SEX, SEX (let's keep those pesky women barefoot & pregnant--& in their places!)
OUT OF THE HOUSE!!! Meanwhile, let's form a united front to BAN their VIAGRA!!!!
