Summary
Protective orders; extension. Provides that a court
may, for good cause shown, extend a preliminary protective order without
requiring additional supporting affidavits or testimony where the party subject
to the order fails to attend the required hearing. Current law provides that
the party for whose benefit the protective order was issued is required to
repeat the process to obtain the order so as to prevent its expiration.
