Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1.  That the Code of Virginia is amended by adding a section numbered 22.1-200.04 as follows:

§ 22.1-200.04. Commemoration of Veteran's Day; guidelines.

The Board of Education shall establish guidelines for the school divisions regarding the appropriate commemoration of Veteran's Day in the public schools. Such guidelines shall include, but need not be limited to, (i) history of the holiday, (ii) discussion topics, (iii) activities, and (iv) appropriate instructional materials for each grade level.
