HB2621: Sales and use tax form, certain; Tax Commissioner to revise, report.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. § 1. The State Tax Commissioner is hereby directed to revise the "Virginia Retail Sales and Use Tax Return" and the "Virginia Retail Sales and Use Tax Worksheet," otherwise known as Form ST-9 and Form ST-9A, respectively, so that they are clear to Virginia's sales and use tax dealers, who collect these taxes on behalf of the Commonwealth of Virginia. The State Tax Commissioner shall by September 1, 2007, communicate to the Chairmen of the House Finance Committee and the Senate Committee on Finance the changes he is making to the forms to reduce the confusion among the dealers who collect and remit the sales and use tax imposed on prepared food.
