Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. That § 3.1-796.77 of the Code of Virginia is amended and reenacted as follows:
§ 3.1-796.77. Prohibited methods for euthanizing an animal.
No animal shall be euthanized pursuant to the provisions of this chapter by means of a high altitude decompression chamber or a gas chamber.
2. That the provisions of this act shall become effective on October 1, 2007.
