Summary

Regulation of traffic; authority of Wildlife Center of Virginia.  Authorizes vehicles owned or controlled by the Wildlife Center of Virginia when specifically requested by a law-enforcement agency to rescue or euthanize injured wildlife to (i) cross medians of divided highways; (ii) use cross-overs and turn-arounds otherwise reserved for use only by authorized vehicles; (iii) drive on a portion of the highway other than the roadway; (iv) stop or stand on any portion of the highway; and (v) operate in any other manner as directed by a law-enforcement officer at the scene. The bill provides that a driver of any such vehicle is not immune from liability, criminal or civil, for reckless behavior.
