WHEREAS, Officer Craig and Corporal Shaw reached the man in less than a minute and quickly determined that he had no pulse and was not breathing; and

WHEREAS, never doubting how to proceed, Officer Craig and Corporal Shaw used an Automatic External Defibrillator (AED) to deliver a shock to the man's heart and then performed CPR; and

RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare copies of this resolution for presentation to Officer Scott Craig and Corporal Dave Shaw as an expression of the General Assembly's admiration for their dedication and skill in carrying out their duties and protecting the citizens of Waynesboro and the Commonwealth.
