WHEREAS, Jennifer Lynne Judd St. Cyr, a beloved staff member of the House Clerk's Office, died at the age of 31 on November 16, 2006, as a result of a rare genetic disorder known as Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, or EDS; and

WHEREAS, Jennifer St. Cyr, affectionately called "Jenny" by her friends and family, was born on January 29, 1975, in Newfane, New York; she graduated from Newfane High School in 1993 and received an associate’s degree in computer science from ECPI in Richmond in 1996; and

WHEREAS, Jennifer St. Cyr joined the House Clerk’s Office in 1998 and was an invaluable asset to the House of Delegates as a help desk coordinator in the Information Systems Department; and

WHEREAS, among her many accomplishments, Jennifer St. Cyr was instrumental in the successful implementation of useful computer innovations that provided citizens with greater access to the General Assembly and participation in the government of the Commonwealth; and

WHEREAS, Jennifer was an outstanding computer technician and faithful friend, who was always available to lend a hand, offer advice, and support her fellow staff members; and

WHEREAS, Jennifer St. Cyr was an excellent wife and caring companion to her husband Darryn St. Cyr; a dedicated and loving mother to her two beautiful daughters, Emily and Madilyn; and a devoted daughter to her parents, Mary and Jerry Judd; and

WHEREAS, a joyful, intelligent, and dynamic woman, Jennifer St. Cyr is described by those who knew her well as the dearest and most loyal friend, daughter, and sister one could ever have; and

WHEREAS, in tribute to Jennifer St. Cyr, may all who knew her and shared in her full life and spirit of “carpe diem” be reminded of the need to raise awareness of the often fatal and rare congenital disease Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome; and

WHEREAS, Jennifer St. Cyr will be fondly remembered and forever missed by her family, friends, and co-workers; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That the House of Delegates hereby note with great sadness the loss of Jennifer Lynne Judd St. Cyr; and, be it

RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare copies of this resolution for presentation to Jennifer St. Cyr's family, Darryn, Emily, and Madilyn St. Cyr, and parents, Mary and Jerry Judd, as an expression of the esteem and deep regard in which her memory is held by the House of Delegates.
