HR89: Commending Ebony Thompson.
WHEREAS, Ebony Thompson, a senior on the Franklin High School girls' basketball team, has scored over 1,000 points in her high school career; and
WHEREAS, Ebony Thompson has been a key member of the Lady Broncos' basketball team for four years, playing both the point guard and shooting guard positions; and
WHEREAS, in past seasons, Ebony Thompson has been named to the Tri-Rivers District all-district first team and the Region A all-region second team; and
WHEREAS, Ebony Thompson has received numerous awards during her career, including Best Offensive Player, Player of the Week, and Player of the Month for Franklin High School as well as the Coach's award; and
WHEREAS, Ebony Thompson's outstanding performance during her four years with the Lady Broncos' basketball team is a tribute to her talent and dedication, the guidance of Coach Mona Sumblin, and the support of her teammates and her family; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, That Ebony Thompson hereby be commended for reaching an incredible milestone in her basketball career; and, be it
RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to Ebony Thompson as an expression of the House of Delegates' admiration for her tremendous achievements with the Franklin High School girls' basketball team.
