Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1.  That § 15.2-2157.1 of the Code of Virginia is amended and reenacted as follows:

§ 15.2-2157.1. Permit for onsite sewage disposal system installation in certain counties.

Any county with a population between 50,000 and 55,000 according to the 1990 United States Census may require any person desiring to install a septic tank an onsite sewage disposal system to secure a permit to do so. Counties may prescribe a reasonable fees fee, not to exceed fifty dollars $150, for the issuance of such permits processing an application for such a permit.
