Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. That the Code of Virginia is amended by adding a section numbered 46.2-1029.3 as follows:

§ 46.2-1029.3. Emergency lights on motorcycles used by law enforcement.

In addition to other lights authorized by this article, motorcycles used by law enforcement in the course of official duties may be equipped with an emergency headlight with a built-in strobe light, approved by the Federal Department of Transportation, to be used during emergency operations governed by § 46.2-920.
