SB734: Coal and gas road improvement tax, local; extends sunset provision.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. That the second enactment of Chapter 646 of the Acts of Assembly of 1978, as amended by Chapter 539 of the Acts of Assembly of 1985, as amended by Chapter 393 of the Acts of Assembly of 1991, as amended by Chapters 614 and 635 of the Acts of Assembly of 1995, and as amended by Chapter 274 of the Acts of Assembly of 2002, is amended and reenacted as follows:
2. That no tax authorized by this act shall be imposed prior
to January 1, 1979, and that this act shall expire on December 31, 2007 2012,
except that any taxes assessed hereunder prior to such expiration date may be
collected thereafter, and any moneys collected hereunder shall be expended as
provided herein.
