A BILL to amend the Code of Virginia by adding in Article 15 of Chapter 1 of Title 33.1 a section numbered 33.1-223.2:17, relating to annual maintenance reports by the Virginia Department of Transportation.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1.  That the Code of Virginia is amended by adding in Article 15 of Chapter 1 of Title 33.1 a section numbered 33.1-223.2:17 as follows:

§ 33.1-223.2:17. Department to prepare and disseminate annual maintenance reports.

The Department of Transportation shall prepare, no later than November 30 of each year, annual reports projecting a three-year highway maintenance schedule. This data shall be reported for each planning district. The report shall be disseminated to the Chief Administrative Officer of each county, city, and town and be posted on the Department's website.
