SJ435: Celebrating the life of Trula Jalene Parsell Peach.
WHEREAS, Trula Jalene Parsell Peach, respected and longtime citizen of Leesburg and one of Loudoun's first female emergency medical technicians, died on December 24, 2006; and
WHEREAS, a native of Pulaski, Trula Parsell was born to William Daily and Rhoda Louetta Brown Parsell on September 11, 1943, and spent much of her childhood in Waxpool; and
WHEREAS, Trula Parsell married her one and only love, William Fletcher Peach on April 20, 1963, and the warm and loving couple served as parents for children of protective custody cases during the 1960s and as foster parents to children with special needs in the 1970s; and
WHEREAS, Trula Peach was an outstanding sergeant with the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office for 13 years, serving as an indispensable dispatcher, matron, and bailiff, and in any other position where she was needed until her recent retirement; and
WHEREAS, Trula Peach was a pioneer as one of Loudoun County's first female emergency medical technicians and was gifted at treating and bringing comfort to people in need; and
WHEREAS, Trula Peach was a leader and life member of the Virginia Association of Volunteer Rescue Squads Auxiliary, as well as the Loudoun County Rescue Squad Auxiliary; and
WHEREAS, Trula Peach will be fondly remembered as a hero by her fellow citizens of Loudoun County and greatly missed by her loving husband and children and her numerous friends and admirers; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED by the Senate, the House of Delegates concurring, That the General Assembly mourn the passing of an exceptional public servant and outstanding Virginian, Trula Jalene Parsell Peach; and, be it
RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the Senate prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to the family of Trula Jalene Parsell Peach as an expression of the General Assembly’s respect for her memory.
