Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. That the Code of Virginia is amended by adding in Article 15 of Chapter 1 of Title 33.1 a section numbered 33.1-223.2:18 as follows:

§ 33.1-223.2:18. Application and installation of  [ traffic-calming traffic control ] measures.

Nothing in this title shall be construed to prevent the acceptance by the Department of Transportation of private financing for the application and installation of  [ traffic-calming traffic control ] measures [ if and when such measures meet the Department’s standards ] .
