Description
Utility Transfers Act; telephone companies. Eliminates the requirement that the State Corporation Commission approve the acquisition or disposal of the assets or of control of a telephone company. The measure will not apply to transactions for which applications seeking Commission approval were filed prior to July 1, 2008. please tell me how this can benefit the citizens of Va. Just a couple of months ago the telecoms where fined heavily by the scc for poor customer services, and now why would Mr Kilgore sponser such a bill. looks like special intrest.
