Description

Utility Transfers Act; telephone companies. Eliminates the requirement that the State Corporation Commission approve the acquisition or disposal of the assets or of control of a telephone company. The measure will not apply to transactions for which applications seeking Commission approval were filed prior to July 1, 2008. Read the Bill »

please tell me how this can benefit the citizens of Va. Just a couple of months ago the telecoms where fined heavily by the scc for poor customer services, and now why would Mr Kilgore sponser such a bill. looks like special intrest.
