Description

Veterans services in the Commonwealth. Changes references under the powers and duties of the Commissioner of Veterans Services from the Secretary of Administration to the Secretary of Public Safety. The bill also (i) adds the Chair of the Board of Trustees of the Veterans Services Foundation as a non voting member of the Joint Leadership Council of Veterans Service Organizations, (ii) adds the Chair of the Joint Leadership Council of Veterans Services Organizations as a voting member of the board of trustees of the Veterans Services Foundation, and (iii) establishes the Veterans Services Foundation as a body politic and corporate to provide funding for veteran services and programs in the Commonwealth.
