Description
Provides for a method of toll adjustments, a method of financial oversight of roadway operators, and a method of assessment of the property of roadway operators by the State Corporation Commission under the Virginia Highway Corporation Act and to provide for the establishment of the rate of taxation of such roadway property under the Tax Code of Virginia. Amends § 56-542 (“Powers of the Commission.”), § 58.1-2600 (“Definitions.”), § 58.1-2606 (“Local taxation of real and tangible personal property of public service corporations; other persons.”), § 58.1-2607 (“Local taxation of real and tangible personal property of railroads.”), of the Code of Virginia.
