HB1224: Driver's, commercial; random drug and alcohol tests required.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. That the Code of Virginia is amended by adding a section numbered 46.2-341.30:1 as follows:
§ 46.2-341.30:1. Random drug and alcohol tests required of commercial drivers.
The Department shall establish a program that will administer random unannounced drug and alcohol tests to all persons who hold a commercial driver's license, with the costs for the program to be paid by persons holding such licenses. The Department may promulgate regulations to implement the provisions of this section.
