I am more angry about the original "Civil Remedial Fees" than anything the legislature had done in the 36 years I have been a resident of Virginia. Have some guts and enact a tax, if that's what we need....this was the most underhanded way to fund Virginia highways I can imagine. I will vote this issue and I hope there are many legislators that are booted for this one. Good luck with the repeal.
We have legislators in Richmond without the courage to lead. As much as I dislike tax hikes it would be better than the course they have taken. Dump the so called abuser fees that could hurt anybody for the smallest error. Spread the cost over the entire population. A slight fuel tax would be the most senseable because it would be a user fee.
