Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1.  That the Code of Virginia is amended by adding a section numbered 8.01-419.01 as follows:

§ 8.01-419.01. Evidence of life expectancy.

Whenever, in any case not otherwise specifically provided for, it is necessary to establish the expectancy of continued life of any person from any period of such person's life, whether he be living at the time or not, United States life tables of such life expectancy, represented by the corresponding age, sex, and ethnicity of such person, published by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, through the National Center for Health Statistics, shall be received in all courts and by all persons having power to determine admissibility of evidence, with such other evidence as to the health, constitution, and habits of such person as may be relevant.

2.  That § 8.01-419 of the Code of Virginia is repealed.
