A BILL to amend the Code of Virginia by adding in Article 15 of Chapter 1 of Title 33.1 a section numbered 33.1-223.2:18, relating to waiving entrance sight-distance requirements of the Department of Transportation for certain entrances in certain counties.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. That the Code of Virginia is amended by adding in Article 15 of Chapter 1 of Title 33.1 a section numbered 33.1-223.2:18 as follows:

§ 33.1-223.2:18. Waiver of certain entrance sight-distance requirements.

In any county having a population of less than 40,000, the Department shall waive entrance sight-distance requirements for entrances to buildings used by emergency fire and rescue organizations when such entrances connect to highways where there is no posted speed limit.
