Description

Temporary detention orders; voluntary and involuntary mental health treatment; purchase of firearms; reporting to Central Criminal Records Exchange. Prohibits a person who is the subject of a temporary detention order and subsequently agrees to voluntary admission to a mental health facility from purchasing or possessing a firearm. The bill also clarifies existing law that prohibits a person who has been involuntarily committed to inpatient treatment or who is ordered to involuntary outpatient treatment from purchasing or possessing a firearm.
