HB22: Methicillin-resistant staphylococcus aureus; required to be reported to Department of Health.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. That § 32.1-49 of the Code of Virginia is amended and reenacted as follows:
§ 32.1-49. Diseases required to be reported.
The Board shall include (i) tuberculosis and (ii) methicillin-resistant staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) in the list of diseases provided for in § 32.1-35 which are required to be reported.
