Summary

Department of Accounts; establishment of division for the collection of receivables. Establishes the Division for the Collection of Receivables within the Department of Accounts to oversee the Commonwealth%92s accounts receivables program pursuant to the Virginia Debt Collection Act (§ 2.2-4800 et seq.). The Division will enforce policies and procedures adopted by the Department for reporting, accounting for, and collecting the Commonwealth's accounts receivable and serve as a central clearinghouse providing collection services to state agencies for all accounts receivable.
