A BILL to amend the Code of Virginia by adding in Article 15 of Chapter 1 of Title 33.1 a section numbered 33.1-223.2:18, relating to contracts between the Commonwealth Transportation Commissioner and certain homeowner associations.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. That the Code of Virginia is amended by adding in Article 15 of Chapter 1 of Title 33.1 a section numbered 33.1-223.2:18 as follows:

§ 33.1-223.2:18. Contracts with homeowner associations.

Notwithstanding any contrary provision of law, the Commonwealth Transportation Commissioner may enter into contracts with any homeowner association embracing a population greater than 35,000 for grounds keeping, mowing, and litter removal from highways within the territory embraced by the homeowner association.
